The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation’s 11 th annual “Links for Learning” golf tournament fundraiser, held May 19, 2016, raised almost $9,000.  This money will support programs and scholarships through the UACCM Foundation General Fund.  The tournament was held at the Morrilton Country Club and had 30 participating teams. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is excited to announce the receipt of a $200,000 grant from Tyson Foods Corporation’s Ways We Care corporate giving program.   This generous support of the campaign gives them a naming opportunity for the workforce training and conference space in the future Workforce Training Center. The Tyson processing plant in Dardanelle, AR is an industry partner with UACCM, and several of the technical programs align with their workforce needs.   Currently, six of their employees serve on technical advisory committees for the college. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton participated in the Arkansas SkillsUSA Championship in Hot Springs, AR.   The competition took place April 12 and 13, and UACCM sent students to represent five of the technical programs.
