February Students of the Month: Taelyn Johnson & Johnna Shaddon

What is your student status? Taelyn: I am graduating this May.  Johnna: I will be graduating in May. What degree/certificate are you seeking? Taelyn: An Associates of Applied Science in Business. Johnna: An Associates of Applied Science in Business. Why did you choose UACCM? Taelyn: For the environment and student life. Johnna: The campus made me feel comfortable. What is your favorite thing about UACCM? Taelyn: The teachers and how much they create a caring environment. Johnna: The Grill and Ms. Z. What is unique about your UACCM story? UACCM AND GREEN BAY PACKAGING, INC. ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has entered a partnership with the Arkansas Kraft Division of Green Bay Packaging, Inc. (GBP-AKD), effective January 2025.   The agreement allows UACCM to assist in the administration, coordination, scheduling, advertising, and evaluation of the community-offered classes taught at the GBP-AKD Training Center located in Morrilton, Arkansas.     “The expansion of our partnership through this development related to the operations of the GBP-AKD Training Center may be one of the most significant achievements of my tenure as Chancellor,” said UACCM Chancellor Lisa Willenberg.   ...

Carlon Family Scholarship Established at UACCM

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) is honored to share that the Carlon Family Scholarship has been established as a new endowment at the college.  The scholarship is established by Ancel Carlon, in honor of the significant impact college had on his life during his time as a student. Carlon stated that the endowment was his way of “giving back.”  The endowed scholarship will be awarded based on financial need for full-time students who meet a GPA of at least 2.5.  UACCM Director of Marketing and Public Relations Mary Clark stated, “We are so thankful to Ancel Carlon for establishing this scholarship, and I know many students will be grateful for years to come.” She continued, “Ancel is a great businessman and community leader who was inspired to give this gift because he received a scholarship that helped him pursue his own college degree and start the path to his successful career.
