The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton announces its guest speaker for Black History Month, former Arkansas Razorback basketball coach Nolan Richardson, Jr. He will speak at the Fine Arts Auditorium of the UACCM campus Thursday, Feb. 6 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Richardson is the only basketball coach to have won a championship on every college level including the 1979 National Junior College Tournament, 1981 National Invitational Tournament and the 1994 NCAA Tournament. After spending 17 years at the University of Arkansas, he now has aspirations of coaching on the NBA level. 2013 Just Desserts The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation will move its annual “Just Desserts” fundraiser to September beginning this year. As the foundation’s board of directors prepares for its 2014 annual fund campaign, board members decided to balance the fundraising schedule by keeping the annual “Links for Learning” golf tournament in May and moving Just Desserts to the fall. UACCM Foundation Board Secretary and 2013 “Just Desserts” Event Co-Chair Rhonda Trowbridge said, “For the past 11 years, community support has made ‘Just Desserts’ a successful fundraiser for our organization.
