Due to the wintery weather conditions expected toward the end of this week, the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s 11th annual Night of Luminaries event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10, following the Morrilton Christmas Parade. This free, family-friendly event is expected to start around 6:00 p.m. or as soon as Santa Claus can make his way from the parade to UACCM. Because of the cool temperatures expected, Santa will be visiting with children inside the Plaza at UACCM where he will hand out gifts to all children who attend. He will be available for pictures, but parents should bring their own cameras if they want photos. UACCM faculty and staff will serve cookies, hot cocoa, and apple cider to all who attend the event. Don’t miss out on the wonderful traditions of Night of Luminaries! Additional weather-related updates will be posted on the UACCM Facebook page and website, www.uaccm.edu.
