UACCM Registration Dates to Continue Until Aug. 14

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will continue to hold Walk-In Registration days until Saturday, Aug. 12 at noon. If unable to meet with an advisor during these times, new students will still be able to register on Monday, Aug. 14, but only for classes that have not met yet. UACCM Walk-In Registration Dates: Aug. 8:            8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (in University Center) Aug. 9-11:       8 a.m. – 6 p.m. (in Business Technology Center) Aug. 12:          9 a.m. – Noon (in Business Technology Center Aug. 14:          8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (in Business Technology Center)

UACCM Foundation Board, Boozman Staffer Tour WTC Site

As construction continues on the 53,000-SF Workforce Training Center project, several members of the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation Board toured the site after their quarterly meeting on July 27. The Foundation Board has been the primary source of private fundraising for the building since its conception.  UACCM Director of Marketing and Public Relations Mary Clark, Will Fisher, Carlene Davis, Mayor Allen Lipsmeyer, UACCM Chancellor Dr. Larry Davis, Pete Giovannini, UACCM Development Officer Morgan Zimmerman, Jeannie Price, Scott McKennon, UACCM Vice Chancellor for Administration Dr. Linda Birkner    Tim Riley, a grants coordinator for U.S. Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.), also visited the site on Aug. 1. Riley provided support from Boozman’s office during the application process, and regularly visits the WTC site to see the progress being made. UACCM Adult Education Services Have Opened In Clinton

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Adult Education Center in Clinton is now open and accepting students in the local area.  All instruction at any UACCM Adult Education Center is free of charge. Each facility offers various programs, including adult basic education, English Language Learners (ESL), college prep, and Workforce Alliance & Growth in the Economy (WAGE) — a series of stackable certifications in partnership with local businesses and industries to prepare participants for workforce careers. GED testing is also available for a discounted fee of $16. Students who complete the GED program will receive a tuition waiver scholarship for a three-hour college class at UACCM, and may also be eligible for a renewable full tuition scholarship to the college for three semesters. The UACCM Adult Education Center in Clinton is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Evening class hours have not been set. For more information, contact Gay
