Trauma Scholarship Grant Program From the Arkansas Department of Health

UACCM has five (5) Trauma/EMT Scholarship Grants available for the current Fall 2011 semester.  The scholarships are in the amount of $611.70 each. Requirements: ·           Must be enrolled in the 8 hour EMT class this Fall 2011 semester ·           Awarded based on financial need of the student with preference going to students that do not qualify for other types of need based aid (excluding student loans). Applicants must complete a UACCM Scholarship Application.   Please note on the scholarship application that you are applying for the EMT Scholarship .  For more information, please see Stacy in the UACCM Financial Aid Office. Arkansas 2032 Conference

UACCM is looking for one student to represent the college at the "Arkansas 2032" Conference. The Clinton School will be hosting a conference for “Arkansas 2032” initiative on April 27-28, and they have asked UACCM to select one student to attend as a representative from the college. The conference will bring students from all across the state together to plan our future of the next 20 years. All of the students who will be selected from each school in attendance are required to have a record of academic excellence, a display of strong leadership, and to enjoy engaging in issue and policy discussions.  The selection committee will begin taking applications from students on November 1 and will continue to accept them until Friday, December 2 . In order to be considered in the selection process, students must have 24 credit hours completed by the end of this fall semester while having maintained a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Deadline Approaching

We will be accepting Fayetteville Shale Scholarship applications until  Friday, September 30, 2011 .  We have a few leftover scholarships to give away for this Fall 2011 semester.  Please announce on the website, facebook, blog, etc. Requirements: Petroleum Technology Major Full-time student with at least six hours of courses that count towards the Petroleum Technology plan of study 2.75 GPA or higher First-semester  students will be awarded based on high school GPA, ACT scores, or COMPASS scores High School GPA must be a 2.75 or higher.  Students using ACT score must have a minimum score of 17 on math, 19 on reading, and 19 on English.  Students using the COMPASS score must have a minimum score of 26 on algebra or 49 on pre-algebra, 83 on reading, and 77 on writing. UACCM E-Mail Instructions

A UACCM e-mail account is available to all students. Accounts for First-time entering students will be set up by the first day of classes. Your account will remain active between semesters as long as you are pre-registered for a following semester. All important campus information is distributed to students through their UACCM email. You must have a signed Computer Account Form on file with Computer Services agreeing to the UACCM Computer Usage Policy. Returning Students do not have to complete a form each subsequent semester at UACCM. To log on to a network computer on campus: Your USERNAME is: first initial + middle initial + last name + last 3 digits of your Student ID Number . For example, if your name is John C. Doe, your username will be JCDoe321. If you do not have a middle initial, substitute an 'x' i.e.. JXDoe321. Your PASSWORD is: first initial + your Student ID number . WHEN SHOULD YOU EXPECT YOUR REFUND

If you are expecting to receive Pell Grant funds, scholarship funds, SEOG or student loan funds, the money will first be applied to any outstanding balances at UACCM automatically. After expenses, any remaining funds will refunded to you. Since there is a two week refund policy for tuition and books, financial aid refunds cannot be processed until after the  first two weeks of classes . Reconciling all charges to each student account typically takes another week, and cutting checks and ordering funds an additional week. Refunds will be issued in this order: loans, Pell Grants, scholarships, SEOG, and all others. Graduate Surveys on ANGEL

Attention students who are completing their highest award (a certificate of proficiency, certificate, or degree) this spring or summer! If you are graduating in the spring or summer, you should take the survey on your ANGEL account. The survey will close Friday, May 6th. We use the results of the Graduate Survey for assessing our programs and getting feedback on UACCM. Their feedback is completely confidential, no IP addresses are saved in their responses. If a student is completing a certificate or degree and a survey is not posted to his/her ANGEL account, they need to contact Clara Paquette @ (501) 977 - 2157. Thank you.
