UACCM Announces Chancellor's Ambassadors

Eight students at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton have been awarded Chancellor’s Ambassador Scholarships for the fall 2006 semester. Brittany Ballard of Conway is pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Teaching at UACCM. She is a 2006 graduate of Conway Christian High School where she was involved in varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball. She participated in Project Jerusalem as well as mission trips both nationally and abroad. In addition to her Chancellor’s Ambassador Scholarship, Ballard received a UACCM Academic Incentive  Scholarship, the Ernest P. Griffin Endowed Scholarship, and a First Security Bank Scholarship. Hundreds Attend TXD Services Information Session

Over 600 people packed into the Fine Arts Building at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton on Thursday, August 17 to gather information about possible careers with Morrilton’s newest industry, TXD Services, LP. In order to accommodate the overflowing crowd, college and company representatives made some last minute adjustments and decided to conduct two consecutive sessions. Even with the two sessions, the 266-seat Fine Arts Auditorium was standing room only during both events as individuals gathered to discover job opportunities available with the natural gas drilling and supply company that recently announced its move to Morrilton. TXD Services  representatives Greg Pearce Sr. and Greg Pearce Jr. facilitated the session, which was conducted to provide information about careers, salaries, and work conditions. TXD Services Information Session

Information Session Scheduled for August 17 at UACCM  In collaboration with the Conway County Economic Development Corporation and the Arkansas Workforce Centers, the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will be hosting a TXD Services, LP information session on Thursday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m.  All potential employment candidates are invited to attend.  The Information Session will be held in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium and will include information about job opportunities in the emerging career field of natural gas drilling, production, and operations. TXD representatives Greg Pearce, Sr., and Greg Pearce, Jr. will be present to answer questions regarding careers, salaries, and the employment outlook for jobs within TXD Services LP.  Individuals interested in learning about job opportunities with TXD Services should attend the information session.  The Arkansas Workforce Center will provide application packets.  Individuals that desire employment with TXD
