UACCM Announces the Charles Stover Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is pleased to announce the establishment of the Charles Stover Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund.  This scholarship was made possible with a generous donation of livestock by Danny and Delene Stover of Plumerville.  The $30,000 made from the sale of the livestock has gone to establish this scholarship, available to students studying auto collision or welding. This scholarship is established in memory of Charles Stover, Danny and Delene Stover’s late son.  Charles was married to Tammy (Guinn) Stover and they had three daughters, Sydney, Mary Kate, and Lillian. The family lived in the Wonderview area. Charles attended Petit Jean Technical College (PJTC) in 1993 and studied auto collision repair technology. UACCM Spring Registration is Underway

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is currently registering for the 2016 spring semester. Those interested in pursuing one of the various opportunities offered by UACCM are invited to apply online at www.uaccm.edu or in person at 1537 University Blvd. in Morrilton.  Applications will be accepted until the start of classes on January 11 and are processed within two days of receipt. UAFS Student Earns Degree through UACCM Partnership

On Thursday, Wade James took a road trip from his home in Belleville to Fort Smith. He didn’t come to the city for Christmas shopping or sightseeing – instead, he came to receive his college degree from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. James was conferred a Bachelor of Applied Science at the university’s commencement ceremony Dec. 10, made possible through an online completion program partnership between UAFS and the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, the school where James earned his associate degree. The program allows students of 13 community colleges in Arkansas to transition into baccalaureate degree programs at UAFS. Most of the studies can be completed online. James, a Danville High School graduate, graduated with his associate degree in computer information systems from UACCM in 2014. Ms. UACCM Pageant Winner Announced

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton held its ninth annual Ms. UACCM Pageant on November 7, 2015, sponsored by the student organization Phi Beta Lambda.  The winners for each division are listed below. For the Miss UACCM division, winners were: Miss UACCM, Haley Pontius; first runner-up, Natalie Prall; second runner-up, Madelyn Roper; third runner-up, Mykayla Robertson; and fourth runner-up, McKenzie Baxter.  Miss UACCM, Haley Pontius, received a $1,000 scholarship to UACCM, and first runner-up, Natalie Prall, received a $500 scholarship. For the Teen Miss UACCM division, winners were: Teen Miss UACCM, Rachel Prall; first runner-up, Kailey Crocker; second runner-up, Taylor Bess; and third runner-up Akala Marcial.
