The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Jazz Ensemble SoundScape presents “Songs of the 60’s” on May 3 & 4 at 7:00pm in the UACCM Plaza . Attendees will be treated to a wonderful evening with musical performances of many of the popular hits from the 1960’s including “Stand By Me,” “California Dreamin’,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “My Girl,” and more. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at the UACCM University Center Cashier's Window. Tickets will also be available at the door. Counseling, Disability, and Career & Transfer Services will be open during the summer break. This is a great chance for students and faculty to take advantage of these (free) services. Thanks to the generosity of Pat Pettry (Academic Achievement Instructor) the following scholarship is now available to our students.  James W. Pettry Memorial Scholarship One year scholarship up to $1000 per semester (Funds must be applied towards tuition, fees, and books) Applications are now available to apply for the James W. Pettry Memorial Scholarship for the Fall 2012 semester. This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time, UACCM student pursuing a two-year program in a technical area (preference given to an Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology major student). Applicants must be in their 2nd year of their program of study. One letter of recommendation is required from a former instructor. Preference will be given to students NOT receiving other UACCM academic scholarships. Attention all fans of golf and MONEY! The seventh annual Links for Learning Golf Tournament fundraiser for the UACCM Foundation is coming up on Thursday, May 10 at the Morrilton Country Club (MCC). Even if you are unable to attend the tournament this year, you will still be able to get in on the action and win up to $1000 by purchasing a chance in the golf ball drop! Read on to find out more...
