New Workforce, Community Education Courses Announced

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will offer several non-credit courses over the next few weeks — including Employment 101, Medical Terminology, and Child Care Orientation Training — beginning with an eight-week Introduction to Welding Basics course starting Jan. 23. All courses are sponsored by the Office of Workforce and Community Education. Note: These courses follow the UACCM Community Education Day on Jan. 21. Four courses will be offered to the public during this event, which you can read about here . Jan. 23 – March 17: The Introduction to Welding Basics course, which meets Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., comprises over 135 hours of hands-on classroom instruction in welding, craft skills, OSHA safety certification, soft skills, and resume writing, along with the possibility of up to six hours of prior learning credit. UACCM To Hold Community Education Day

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, through its Office of Workforce & Community Education, will host a Community Education Day on Jan. 21 at 8 a.m. in the Library Complex. Designed to help community members start off 2017 with some self-improvement, the event will feature courses on personal budgeting, crocheting, genealogy, and improving placement scores for college. The program for Community Education Day is as follows:  8 a.m. – 3 p.m.: “Cracking the ACT” is a one-day workshop to help individuals learn how to avoid common mistakes on the ACT and other placement exams. Participants will gain valuable skills to improve their scores and increase scholarship potential by practicing testing areas such as English, Math, Reading and Science. UACCM Announces Fall 2016 Honors Recipients

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is proud to announce the Chancellor's  List and Academic Honors List of students for the fall 2016 semester. The Chancellor's List is made up of full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours with a 4.00 grade point average.
