UACCM Partners with American Red Cross to Host Blood Drive

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. west of the Kirk Building on the UACCM campus. Anyone interested in donating blood can make an appointment in advance or walk-in at their convenience.  For more information or to make an appointment to donate, sign up online at www.redcross.org/blood or at bit.ly/UACCMbd15. “Hosting a blood drive coincides with UACCM’s core values of giving back to the community,” said Chief Information Officer Mary Clark. “With a simple blood donation, we have the ability to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, loved one or neighbor.” Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. UACCM Announces 2017 International Travel Opportunity

Students and community members interested in an affordable and safe international travel experience are invited to register for UACCM’s Galapagos Island Adventure scheduled May 25 – June 4, 2017. Information meetings for this trip will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at both noon and 6:30 p.m. and on Friday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. All meetings will be held in the Kirk Building in room 122. Students and community members are invited to attend. The current price, which reflects a promotional $200 discount that expires October 31, 2015, includes round-trip airfare, all transportation, sightseeing tours and site visits, all hotels with private bathroom, breakfast and dinner daily, and a full-time multi-lingual tour director. Excursions include a visit to Lava Cave and the Sierra Negra Volcano, snorkeling and touring the wetlands and visiting the giant tortoises at Las Tintoreras.
