The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has been awarded a $2 million grant by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Arkansas Division of Higher Education Commissioner Ken Warden, and Chief Workforce Officer Mike Rogers.  The grant is part of the Higher Industry Readiness through Educational Development (HIRED) program, which uses funding that was established by the Workforce Initiative Act of 2015. December Student of the Month: Elora Rose

Elora is in her last semester at UACCM, pursuing an Associates of Science in Education degree. After graduation, Elora plans to spend time with her family and eventually continue her education at Arkansas Tech University. Elora told us that she is a first-generation college student and coming to UACCM with her supportive partner was the best decision she ever made. She says her favorite thing about UACCM is the staff and faculty, and how they make students feel cared for. We asked Elora if she had any advice for current and future Timberwolves, she said, "Be proactive. Getting involved on campus helps! If you are an education student, check out the education study room.”
