Nabholz Nursing Skills Lab Established at UACCM

 

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has received a $50,000 sponsorship for the new Nursing & Science Center from Nabholz.  

The sponsorship is for the new skills lab for nursing students inside the UACCM Nursing & Science Center. The lab will be known as the “Nabholz Nursing Skills Lab.”

“We are thankful for the chance to support UACCM and the hands-on training that will shape the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Brad Hegeman, Nabholz Vice Chairman & Chief Strategy Officer.

“Strong communities depend on strong education, and we’re honored to play a small role in preparing future nurses who will care for Arkansas,” he continued.  

Headquartered in Conway, Nabholz started in 1949 as a small, family-owned construction company and has turned into a large, multi-discipline, employee- and family-owned firm. Nabholz has 15 locations, with five located in Arkansas and others located from Oklahoma to Connecticut.

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Nursing and Science Center on Monday, with a keynote presentation from Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.  Among those in attendance for the event were Morrilton Mayor Allen Lipsmeyer, Conway County Judge Jimmy Hart, UA Trustee Colonel Nate Todd, UA Trustee Chair Kelly Eichler, UA Trustees Kevin Crass and Judd Deere, Arkansas’ Chief Workforce Officer Mike Rogers, Commissioner of the Division of Higher Education Dr. Ken Warden, Sen.   The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is proud to announce the Chancellor’s and Dean’s lists of students for the 2024-2025 school year. The Chancellor’s List recognizes full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours in a semester during the 2024-25 academic year with a 4.00 grade point average. Juliana Linn named Ms. UACCM 2025

  Juliana Linn, 20, of Bee Branch was crowned Ms. UACCM 2025 after competing in the seventeenth annual UACCM Pageant on Saturday, November 1, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Fine Arts Auditorium. Linn is the daughter of Travis and Kim Linn of Bee Branch. She is in her third semester, earning an Associate of Arts in General Education degree. Linn was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a bag of “Bourbon Brazil” coffee from Big Cuppa, an oil change from Jiffy Lube, a $25 gift certificate from Merle Norman, and a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, all of Morrilton. In addition, she received a performance maintenance package from the National Trailer Source of Atkins.
