JONES NAMED DIRECTOR OF STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has named Abby Jones as Director of Student Development.

Jones has been with UACCM since 2018, previously serving as Student Development Counselor.

UACCM Vice Chancellor of Student Services Darren Jones said, “We are extremely fortunate to have Abby at UACCM. Her passion for our students, both academically and personally, is immediately apparent and made the decision to name her Director of Student Development an easy one. There is no doubt that Student Development will continue to grow under her leadership.”

Jones is a Russellville native and graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013. Jones received a Master of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in 2015. In April, Jones became fully licensed as a licensed professional counselor.

“I am thankful for the opportunities and recognition I have been given here at UACCM. It’s an honor to be part of a team who puts students first. Student Development strives to meet each student where they are at in their lives and provide them with the services, support, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential. I’ve truly enjoyed helping students find success in and outside of the classroom and I look forward to the opportunities to come,” Jones said.

UACCM Student Development promotes student growth and development through outreach and individualized services on campus. Several services are offered through Student Development, including personal counseling, career planning, student readiness, and accessibility and accommodations.
