How to Know if UACCM is Closed Due to Inclement Weather
Winter is here, and we wanted to remind the UACCM community on how
we communicate a closing or delay due to inclement weather. The safety and
concern of our students, faculty, and staff is our highest priority, and there
are several ways that commuters can learn about class cancellation.
Please note that UACCM will only send out communication if there is a closing or delay. If there is no communication, then the college
is open and classes will continue as scheduled.
Make sure to always use your best judgment during inclement weather and stay safe! If you cannot safely come to campus, communicate with your instructors.
Here are the ways we communicate class cancellations:
- The Emergency Alert System is a text or voice messaging system that UACCM uses for severe weather events, campus closings, and security incidents.
- You can sign up for notifications by logging into your Portal page (My UACCM PORTAL found on the UACCM homepage), click on the Emergency Alert tab, and provide contact information.
- You can also use the same tab to update your emergency contact information if you have previously signed up.
- The UACCM App is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Check your UACCM email.
