Century League Completes Endowment, Funds Annual Scholarships
In addition to a
$2,000 gift, the Century League of Morrilton has given the final installment of
a $25,000 endowed scholarship fund created through the University of Arkansas
Community College at Morrilton Foundation. Scholarships from this fund will be given
out beginning in fall 2018. The organization also completed a $1,000 pledge to
the GIVE MEANING campaign this year.

The Century
League Scholarship is a $500 tuition waiver awarded annually to a full-time
UACCM student from Conway County. Scholarships from this endowed fund will be
given out beginning in fall 2018. Applicants must complete the scholarship
application and submit a 500-1,000 word essay on the topic, “Why is community
service important?,” to the UACCM Financial Aid Office to be eligible for this
award. Award recipients are selected by the UACCM Scholarship Committee.
As a nonprofit
organization established in 1982, the Century League’s mission is to promote
community development and improvement to be ready to act upon matters
concerning local, state, and national welfare; to help in assessing the needs
of the community and gathering people and resources to meet these needs; and to
aid in the fellowship among residents of Conway County.
