Over the years, we have had many graduates cross the stage at UACCM. Of these alumni, some have gone on to do incredible things around the world, and some have done incredible things here at home. We even have a number of alumni that are employed at UACCM and help the next generations of students succeed. Each month, we are featuring an alumnus that has put what they learned at UACCM to work.

This month, meet Aubrey Viereck, Library Technician at the UACCM Library! Aubrey graduated from UACCM in 2017 with her Associate of Science in Liberal Arts. She took part in one of the 2+2 programs and transferred to UCA to earn her Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

What was your favorite thing about attending UACCM?

“My favorite thing about attending UACCM is the long-lasting relationships I built with my professors,” Aubrey said. “The friendships I have with these professors have helped me become a successful adult. I also enjoyed the smaller classes and the one-on-one time I got with my professors.” Aubrey says there are many reasons to choose UACCM, but most importantly the college is always there to help students succeed if they are willing to put in the work.

How did your experience at UACCM prepare you for your career and life today?

“UACCM prepared me for my career by giving me the skills to succeed. Doing special projects, research papers, and developing my communication skills at UACCM have helped me to come out of my shell and to work harder towards a better future.”

Looking back, what advice would you give yourself as a student?

“I would tell myself to become more involved in Student Activities. Student Activities is a great way to make new friends and to be more involved in campus life.”
