Thomas, a collision repair and refinishing technology student, and Charton, a drafting student, now both qualify to participate in the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Ky., in June. Collision and repair technology student Jonathon Vaughan of Jerusalem, welding student Bradley Duncan of Bauxite, and drafting students Dylan McKnight of Morrilton and Luis Ocampo of Paris also received awards in their respective events.

“The students competed hard and did well against many post-secondary schools from across the state,” Jayson Millheim, a drafting instructor and UACCM’s SkillsUSA advisor, said. “Admissions also passed out over 100 tuition waivers to high school gold medal winners across the state, and during the ceremony we were mentioned several times as providing those tuition waivers.”
