Commercial Driver Training Program Begins Enrollment at UACCM

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Workforce Training & Community Education department is now accepting applications for the new, non-credit, Commercial Driver Training Program.  Beginning in June, the program is four to seven weeks, consisting of 160-164 training hours. Wayne Smith Trucking generously donated a 2007 Great Dane trailer for use by the class.  Program participants must be 21 years of age and be able to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening. Participants must be able to read, speak, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to meet the Department of Transportation regulations. Participants may need to be available for some evening on-the-road training. Upon completion of the program, students will be tested by the State Police or a third party tester for their Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). UACCM Announces Spring 2026 Chancellor's and Dean's List

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is proud to announce the Chancellor’s and Dean’s lists of students for the Spring 2026 semester. The Chancellor’s List recognizes full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours with a 4.00 grade point average. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours with a 3.50 to 3.99 grade point average. Budget Growth & Tuition Adjustments UACCM has increased its general operating budget by 10% over a three-year period, driven by consecutive annual funding expansions. For the 2025–26 academic year, UACCM recorded a $15.5 million Educational and General (E&G) budget, representing a 2% increase over the previous year and a 3.3% increase over the 2023–24 period. The institution's upcoming 2026–27 budget will see an additional 6.5% year-over-year increase.  These figures speak to the growth and expansion UACCM continues to experience year-over-year. With the opening of the new Nursing and Science Center, the expansion of programming across all campus divisions, and continuing to offer competitive salary and benefits packages as an Employer of Choice ,  UACCM strives to remain true to its roots of community and culture and to its mission of excellence in learning and personal enrichment.
