LOCAL ARTIST SHOWCASE 2011






Fine Arts faculty member Tina Lake and Beginning Painting students Valeria Selles, Audrey Christian, Kathleen Darst, Katie Stogsdill, Kristian Loomis, Julie Brown, and Amanda Fillinger will represent UACCM in this year’s Local Artist Showcase 2011. This annual art exhibition runs from November 1-28, 2011 and will be held at the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center in Russellville, Arkansas. Please join as we meet and greet area artists during a reception to be held on Sunday, November 6th, between 1:00-3:00 pm. Many works of art will be available for sale, so get started early on your Christmas shopping. The Art Center is located at 1001 East B Street in downtown Russellville and is free and open to the public. For more information, call 479-968-2452. Creating a Pathway from UACCM to UA-Fayetteville

  The Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship is a program that reduces the tuition rate for UACCM graduates who transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. With this scholarship, graduates with an Associate of Arts or Science degrees will pay their UACCM tuition rate instead of the full rate of the Fayetteville campus, resulting in big savings on their path to gaining a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship is available to students from the seven community colleges in the University of Arkansas System, allowing them to pay the rate they paid at their UA two-year college. It is renewable for a maximum of 10 regular semesters and only applies to students transferring to the UA Fayetteville. The scholarship only applies to the base tuition and does not include fees or any additional costs charged by specific programs at the Fayetteville campus. How much are you saving? UACCM Holds Fall Commencement Exerises

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton held its commencement exercises on Friday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the H.B. White Auditorium on the Morrilton High School campus. There were 116 candidates for graduation.   Linda Zambrano, a business instructor at UACCM, was the graduation speaker. Zambrano was selected as the recipient of the 2005 Postsecondary Teacher of the Year Award from the Southern Business Education Association (SBEA), one of five regional divisions of the National Business Education Association (NBEA).  She also received the 2004 Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award at UACCM. UACCM graduate Deborah Diaz was recognized as the college’s 2005 Academic All-Star. Diaz graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in general education. She was selected as the college’s Academic All-Star based on her academic achievements, leadership ability, academic honors, community service, recommendation letters, essay and interview. Pay Tuition Bills and Review Account Balances Through Workday

UACCM is continuing to improve the student information system experience as we transition from Campus Connect to Workday Student. Students may now review Fall 2024 course fees and student account balances as well as pay tuition bills through Workday!  Workday allows students to easily see their current balance, as well as amounts coming due in the future, and payment history.
