LOCAL ARTIST SHOWCASE 2011






Fine Arts faculty member Tina Lake and Beginning Painting students Valeria Selles, Audrey Christian, Kathleen Darst, Katie Stogsdill, Kristian Loomis, Julie Brown, and Amanda Fillinger will represent UACCM in this year’s Local Artist Showcase 2011. This annual art exhibition runs from November 1-28, 2011 and will be held at the Arkansas River Valley Arts Center in Russellville, Arkansas. Please join as we meet and greet area artists during a reception to be held on Sunday, November 6th, between 1:00-3:00 pm. Many works of art will be available for sale, so get started early on your Christmas shopping. The Art Center is located at 1001 East B Street in downtown Russellville and is free and open to the public. For more information, call 479-968-2452. Congratulations to UACCM's September Student of the Month, Jasmine Novak! Jasmine is in her final semester of UACCM's Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education degree. After graduation, Jasmine plans to continue her education at UACCM and pursue an Associate of Science in Education degree. Jasmine's goal is to transfer to a four-year university to get a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  Jasmine is a first-generation college student and UACCM was the best fit for her because of tuition, proximity, and campus resources.  Jasmine says her favorite things about UACCM are the student and faculty interactions. Pay Tuition Bills and Review Account Balances Through Workday

UACCM is continuing to improve the student information system experience as we transition from Campus Connect to Workday Student. Students may now review Fall 2024 course fees and student account balances as well as pay tuition bills through Workday!  Workday allows students to easily see their current balance, as well as amounts coming due in the future, and payment history. UACCM Breaks Ground on Nursing and Science Center

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) broke ground for the new $16 million Nursing and Science Center on Friday.  The two-story, 36,000 square-foot Nursing and Science Center will be located southwest of Technology Building II on the UACCM campus and will feature seven science labs and classrooms, ten nursing labs and classrooms, and two student lounges for studying.  In attendance for the groundbreaking was Arkansas Rep. Rick Beck, University of Arkansas System President Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt, Conway County Judge Jimmy Hart, Morrilton Mayor Allen Lipsmeyer, District Director for Rep.
