Spring 2011 Orientation Cancelled

Due to inclement weather, the UACCM Spring 2011 Orientation will not be held on it's rescheduled date of Tuesday, January 11. With classes still scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 12, the decision has been made to not reschedule the orientation for another date. No word yet regarding if the campus will be completely closed. I will update this post as soon as the official decision has been made.

UPDATE: 

The UACCM Campus will be open Tuesday, January 11th at 10 am. All employees Should report to work by 10 am. Orientation for Spring 2011 on Jan. 11 has been cancelled. Students should check our Facebook and Blog tomorrow for updated information concerning orientation information and requirements.

U.S. Department of Commerce Awards $2 Million to Support Healthcare Training at UACCM

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) will receive a $2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to build a new Allied Health and Science Center. This project will consolidate the school’s health professional training programs into one building and provide increased capacity to expand its programs. This EDA investment will be matched with $1.1 million in local funds. The EDA funds will be utilized for site development and infrastructure improvements to prepare the college’s proposed east side location along University Blvd. The facility will expand the current practical nursing, registered nursing, nursing assisting, dietary management, and STEM field transfer credentials and will also allow the college to explore added programming in other vital, in-demand health fields. “Receiving this grant will enable UACCM to greatly expand its educational and training opportunities in the sciences and medical pr

Lawrence Crowned Ms. UACCM 2022

Emily Lawrence, 18, of Oppelo was crowned Ms. UACCM 2022 after competing in the fourteenth annual UACCM Pageant on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Fine Arts Auditorium. Lawrence is the daughter of David and Kathy Lawrence of Oppelo. She is in her first semester, pursuing an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts. Upon graduating from UACCM, Lawrence plans to pursue a master's degree in psychology to become a school counselor.   Lawrence was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office and a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton.   The first runner-up, Abigail Valdez of Conway, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the UACCM Chancellor’s Office. She is the daughter of Fausto Valdez and Maybelline Hensley.
