March 8-12 (and beyond) Campus Events

NOTE: Two class cancelations today: Anita Fowler's classes are canceled for the remainder of the day, and Dana Strassle's 5:00-7:50 pm earth science class is also canceled.
Welcome back to UACCM after a b-e-a-utiful weekend. Hope you all got a chance to enjoy it. Take a look at some of the FREE events coming up today and in the next couple of weeks.
  • Monday, March 8 and Tuesday, March 9 - The American Red Cross Bloodmobile is on campus today and will return tomorrow to take your blood! If you're interested in helping save a life by giving blood, stop by the giant Bloodmobile, currently located near the Science Building, before 3:00 pm today and from 10:00 am-3:00 pm tomorrow.
  • Tuesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 11 will mark the next SGA BINGO days at UACCM! Stop by Union Station anytime from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm either day to play BINGO and win some amazing prizes including Zune mp3 players, a Garmin GPS, blu-ray player, and more. All games are free with student I.D., so drop by, grab some popcorn, and get ready to play. For more info., contact Kelley Roach at (501)354-7573 or at roach@uaccm.edu.  
  • Thursday, March 11 - Holocaust Survivor Margit Meissner will be in Morrilton for two FREE presentations detailing her experience during the Holocaust. The first will be held at noon at H.B. White Auditorium on campus at Morrilton High School, and the second will be held at 7:00 pm in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium. Both presentations are free and are open to the public.   • March 15 - It's time for Intramural Kickball! Play will begin March 15. Sign up in Union Station in the Kirk Building for this great intramural activity. You can sign up individually or as a team.  
  • March 15-19 - "Road Trip 2010: Safe Spring Break" Week will encompass a week-long scavenger hunt, DUI simulator, root beer pong, baggo, "get lucky" ducks, and more to help you get ready for spring break week. Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .

UACCM Eclipse Parking

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. FOR VISITORS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  Purchase an eclipse parking pass for $100 from the either of the tents located on University Boulevard  (🟧 on map). You are allowed to park anywhere in eclipse parking (blue on map). FOR STUDENTS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  You are allowed to park in eclipse parking (blue on map), free of charge. You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.  FOR STUDENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS: You may park in the parking lot in front of the UC and BTC (pink on map). You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals? I am majoring in General Education. Once I finish with my associate degree here at UACCM, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) to further my education in Sonography.
