The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has received a $50,000 sponsorship for the new Nursing & Science Center from Petit Jean State Bank.

The sponsorship will be reflected in the courtyard of the UACCM Nursing & Science Center, with the area now being the “Petit Jean State Bank Courtyard.”

“We are incredibly grateful to Petit Jean State Bank for their generosity and continued support,” said UACCM Practical Nursing Director Angie Moore-Strickland.

She continued, “Commitment from our community neighbors shows their belief and support in what we do here.”

Several members of the Petit Jean State Bank board of directors along with some of the bank’s senior staff members attended the check presentation.

Petit Jean State Bank has been a locally owned and managed bank in Morrilton for over 25 years. In 2009, the bank expanded to a location on University Boulevard to serve the needs of Morrilton’s expanding community. Now, that same location sits across from the UACCM Nursing & Science Center.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting for the UACCM Nursing & Science Center is scheduled for November 17, with the time to be announced. For the latest information, follow uaccm.edu.
