UACCM Celebrates Nursing Graduates

In December, UACCM was proud to celebrate its graduates from the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing programs. 

A total of 50 students graduated from the programs with several having jobs with local medical facilities already lined up, or choosing to continue their education. 

During the Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Mia Chantha, from Conway, was awarded the Heartbeat of Nursing award. The Heartbeat of Nursing award is voted on by the class to honor the student who has shown excellence in clinical care, displays compassion and integrity, is a role model and displays ethical values, demonstrates leadership and professionalism, and has a nurse’s heart.

During the Registered Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Rebecca Mann, from Bigelow, was presented with the Nightingale Award and Blake Barrett, from Conway, and Meghan Knotts, from Conway, were both presented with the Nurses’ Heart Award.
