Bill Dial is a UACCM industry partner for our Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology program. He is an Engineering Technician 3 at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Maumelle, Arkansas. Get to know him below!

What are the benefits of partnering with UACCM for yourself and the college?

I have been very blessed with a great career so I enjoy helping UACCM with their curriculum to prepare students for a career in my profession. I also get to meet people who work in different industries and learn from them.

Why should others serve on advisory committees?

UACCM really listens to committee members and adjusts their curriculum based on our input. The UACCM faculty always makes us feel very appreciated, and you get to meet many other industry professionals.

What do you enjoy most about your career?

I enjoy the challenge of designing machine improvements for manufacturing equipment used by our company around the world.

Why should students consider a career in your field?

An associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology allows you to make a good living in a wide range of industries where you can work indoors in a professional office environment and continually learn new things.

What advice would you give yourself when you were starting your career?

Pursue a career field you enjoy with a high demand for your skills across different industries. Set your goals high, adapt quickly to new technologies, and never stop learning.

Students Honored at 2024 Student Recognition Awards Ceremony

The year's most outstanding students at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton were honored at the Student Recognition Awards Ceremony, an annual gathering of faculty, staff, and families joining students to celebrate their accomplishments. Every department nominates students to receive awards based on academic excellence in their field of study. Awards are also given from the UACCM Student Activities, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, and other student organizations to outstanding students for their engagement at the college community and organization. A student ambassador is also selected as Ambassador of the Year. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals? I am majoring in General Education. Once I finish with my associate degree here at UACCM, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) to further my education in Sonography.
