Staff Spotlight: Brigitte Brents

Our next staff spotlight is a familiar face around the finance office. Meet Brigitte E. Brents, Payroll Officer at UACCM!

Brigitte is an alumna of the Business Education program, attending in 1980-81. She has been a staff member at UACCM for over 10 years and always brings a little extra fun and motivation to the office.

When asked why students should choose UACCM, Brigitte stressed that you can never lose your education. Her favorite parts of working at UACCM are the positive environment, coworkers, and supportive leadership. Her favorite hobbies include family and travel.

Commercial Driver Training Program Begins Enrollment at UACCM

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Workforce Training & Community Education department is now accepting applications for the new, non-credit, Commercial Driver Training Program.  Beginning in June, the program is four to seven weeks, consisting of 160-164 training hours. Wayne Smith Trucking generously donated a 2007 Great Dane trailer for use by the class.  Program participants must be 21 years of age and be able to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening. Participants must be able to read, speak, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to meet the Department of Transportation regulations. Participants may need to be available for some evening on-the-road training. Upon completion of the program, students will be tested by the State Police or a third party tester for their Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).   The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is proud to announce the Chancellor’s and Dean’s lists of students for the Fall 2025 semester. The Chancellor’s List recognizes full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours with a 4.00 grade point average. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who completed at least 12 college-level credit hours with a 3.50 to 3.99 grade point average. UACCM THE SUMMIT Campus Report 2025-26: Revenues and Expenses

Budget Growth & Tuition Adjustments UACCM has increased its general operating budget by 10% over a three-year period, driven by consecutive annual funding expansions. For the 2025–26 academic year, UACCM recorded a $15.5 million Educational and General (E&G) budget, representing a 2% increase over the previous year and a 3.3% increase over the 2023–24 period. The institution's upcoming 2026–27 budget will see an additional 6.5% year-over-year increase.  These figures speak to the growth and expansion UACCM continues to experience year-over-year.
