We’re so excited for spring, but until it gets here, Student Sunday is our favorite day! This month, get to know Thomas Brodsky, second-year general education student from Conway, Arkansas. 

Why did you choose UACCM?

The great teachers and quality education.

What are your favorite things to do or hobbies you enjoy when you're not at school?

Outside of school, I enjoy being a licensed amateur radio operator and connecting with others over the radio waves. I also enjoy tinkering on vehicles and playing baseball.

What is unique about your UACCM story?

My first semester in college at UACCM was my first experience in a traditional classroom setting. Everyone at UACCM has contributed to my success as a college student and facilitated my transition.

Do you have any special tips or tricks UACCM students should know?

Put in the work and be proactive rather than reactive in your classes.

What are your plans after you finish your degree?

To transfer to a four-year Arkansas college to study some field of science.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals? I am majoring in General Education. Once I finish with my associate degree here at UACCM, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) to further my education in Sonography. Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .
