Annual Links for Learning Golf Tournament Set for June 17

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation Board has announced plans for the 15th annual “Links for Learning” golf tournament, which will be held Thursday, June 17, at the Morrilton Country Club.

The three-person-scramble is back on course after its cancellation in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and with it brings a sense of normalcy from a time before.

The UACCM Foundation is seeking teams and sponsors to enjoy a day in the outdoors and support the college. Proceeds from the tournament support UACCM’s academic programs and services, including scholarships, technology improvements in training labs and classrooms, and facility upgrades.

Registration for teams is currently open to the public. With an entry fee for each three-person team of $350, registration includes two mulligans per player, carts, lunch, and gift bags. Prizes will be awarded to players with the longest drive and closest to the pin. The tournament will also feature a golf ball drop contest with up to a $1,000 prize going to the winning ball in the hole or closest to the pin.

Businesses, organizations, and community members can be involved in this event by entering the tournament as players, or by donating gift-bag promotional items. Each player will receive a goody bag with donated items, and door prizes will also be given out during drawings throughout the day.

The UACCM Foundation also welcomes sponsorships, which are available at various levels, ranging from $100 to $4,000.

To register for the tournament, purchase tickets for the golf ball drop, or participate as a sponsor, visit uaccm.edu/linksforlearning, or contact Mary Clark at (501) 977-2011, or at clark@uaccm.edu. Checks may be made payable to the UACCM Foundation.
