Welcome Week 2020 Features Activities for Students

Fall 2020 is certainly shaping up to be a semester like no other, and UACCM is forever committed to creating a safe environment for students to connect, learn, and grow. To kick off the semester, UACCM Student Activities is offering a slate of Welcome Week activities to help students have fun and meet their classmates.  

Welcome Week begins on Monday, August 24, the beginning of the fall semester, with a full day of activities.

Monday

Free Breakfast

Where: Help Tables at University Center, Kirk Building, and the Student Union

When: 7:30 to 10: 30 AM

Pop-up help stations with free breakfast will be located around campus with volunteers ready to help you find your way.

 

Tuesday

Free Breakfast

Where: Help Tables at University Center, Kirk Building, and the Student Union

When: 7:30 to 10: 30 AM

Pop-up help stations with free breakfast will be located around campus with volunteers ready to help you find your way.

 

Tie Dye

Where: Student Union Lawn

When: 11:00 AM until gone

Come tie dye your own UACCM tee!

 

Wednesday

Rec on the Lawn

Where: Student Union Lawn

When: 12:00 to 2:00 PM

Baggo, soccer, ultimate frisbee, kickball, and wiffle ball, oh my! Music and Gatorade will be provided under the pavilion.

 

Thursday

Ice Cream Social

Where: Student Union

When: 12:30 to 2:30 PM

Ice cream social available to all students, faculty, and staff.

 

Game Day

Where: Student Union

When: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

Ping pong tournament. Board games available all day.

 

Friday

Free Kona Ice

Where: Student Union

When: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

Come grab a free snow cone from Kona Ice!

Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .

UACCM Eclipse Parking

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. FOR VISITORS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  Purchase an eclipse parking pass for $100 from the either of the tents located on University Boulevard  (🟧 on map). You are allowed to park anywhere in eclipse parking (blue on map). FOR STUDENTS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  You are allowed to park in eclipse parking (blue on map), free of charge. You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.  FOR STUDENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS: You may park in the parking lot in front of the UC and BTC (pink on map). You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals? I am majoring in General Education. Once I finish with my associate degree here at UACCM, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) to further my education in Sonography.
