Links for Learning Tournament Cancelled

The UACCM Foundation has announced the cancellation of its annual Links for Learning golf tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was to take place at the Morrilton Country Club in June, with the purpose of raising funds for the college’s programs and services. The event will not be rescheduled in 2020.

To safeguard against the spread of COVID-19, UACCM continues to practice social distancing guidelines.

“UACCM and the Foundation want to do what is right during this confusing time, and perhaps serve as an example to others in our area,” said Scott McKennon, Foundation Board chair. “There will be a time for celebratory outdoor events soon enough. But we felt that time is not now.”

The golf tournament is an integral part of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, McKennon said. With these funds, the Foundation supports many special programs, including “scholarships, equipment purchases, employee mini-grants, and much more.”

In lieu of the golf tournament, the Foundation is encouraging the public to continue to support the college’s students and programs during these challenging times.
