UACCM Launches Search for Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) is looking for an innovative, student-centered advocate to serve as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (VCAA). 

The VCAA, acting under the direction of the Chancellor, has broad responsibilities for the planning, development, budgeting, supervision and the administration of the college’s instructional and non-instructional academic programs and services for the college. 

The VCAA ensures the academic integrity of the college and supports and seeks out innovative programs and methods of delivery that respond to a rapidly changing educational environment. The VCAA provides leadership, vision and direction for a comprehensive array of academic affairs. The VCAA works cooperatively with deans and department heads to monitor existing programs for continued viability, seeks to expand academic credit programs as needed, implements new programs aimed at serving the needs of the campus community while at the same time improving student recruitment, diversity, enrollment, retention and graduation rates. In addition, the VCAA works cooperatively with the chancellor and other administrators in all areas including strategic planning for the academic area as well as the college as a whole. 

The VCAA provides vision and innovative leadership needed to advance the college's academic programs while creating an environment centered around inclusion and success. The VCAA may be called upon to represent UACCM on and off campus at events both local, in-state, and out-of-state.

All duties are performed in cooperation with other administrators and in accordance with the plans and policies of the College.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Master’s degree in education or a related field
•Five years of successful higher education work experience as an instructor and/or administrator
•Three years’ proven successful supervisory experience
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these minimum requirements upon approval of the Chancellor. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Doctorate in education or related field
•Five years of successful work experience as a college instructor plus
•Five years of successful work experience as a college administrator
•Evidence of appointment to positions of increasing responsibility in education and/or a related field
