Winners Named in Miss UACCM Pageant

Baylee Westcott, 18, of Springfield was crowned Ms. UACCM 2019 after competing in the thirteenth annual UACCM Pageant on Saturday, November 9, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Fine Arts Auditorium.

Westcott is the daughter of Tammy Spires-Westcott from Springfield. She is in her third semester, pursuing an Associate of Arts in General Education degree. Upon graduating from UACCM, Wescott will transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville to major in pre-law. She plans to attend law school and one day own her own firm.

Wescott was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and a product basket courtesy of Hairport, Morrilton. She also received gift certificates from Morrilton businesses, including Magie Ford Lincoln Co., Merle Norman & More, and Southern Roots Hair Salon.

The first runner-up, Aspen Shirley of Dover, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the UACCM Chancellor’s Office and gift certificates from Merle Norman & More and Southern Roots Hair Salon. The second runner-up received a gift certificate from Merle Norman & More.

Hosted by UACCM’s SkillsUSA chapter, the pageant was open to current UACCM students and girls between the ages of birth and 17 years old. Apart from seven additional categories, those who competed for the title of Ms. UACCM were judged on beauty, professionalism, speech presentation, and interview skills.

“We are so thankful for all of the contestants and the businesses in our surrounding communities who supported our pageant,” Linda Zambrano, pageant director, said. “Also, a special thank you goes to those who came to support the girls who entered the pageant. All of the proceeds from the pageant go to the UACCM SkillsUSA chapter to send students to state and national competitions, so our students appreciate the generous support of all.”

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .
