Arvest Foundation Donates $5,000 to UACCM Clock Tower Project
The Arvest Foundation, the non-profit unit of Arvest Bank, has
donated $5,000 to the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s
clock tower project. Arvest representatives Skip Colvin and Rita Birch
presented the check at the Workforce Training Center on the UACCM campus.
“Construction of a commemorative clock tower is the logical next
step for the UACCM campus,” Anne Cadle, development officer at UACCM, said.
“The grounds of the college, although attractive, lack a landmark that would
unify the campus and serve as a symbol and gathering space for current
students, alumni, and the community. A clock tower definitely fits that bill.”
“Fundraising efforts are on-going,” Cadle said. “For as little as
a $100 donation, you can purchase a brick paver with an etched inscription.
This is a lasting way to honor a graduate, beloved instructor or a loved one.”
The tower’s groundbreaking is planned for 2019. It will be
situated on the west side of campus between the University Center and the
Workforce Training Center.
