Winners Announced for Miss UACCM Pageant

Micaela Reeves, 19, of Greenbrier was crowned Miss UACCM 2018 after competing in the twelfth annual UACCM Pageant on Saturday, November 3, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s Fine Arts Auditorium.

Reeves is the daughter of Candice Rudd & Michael Reeves. She is a second-year student at UACCM pursing an Associate of Arts degree in general education. After completing the necessary courses, she will apply to the UACCM practical nursing and registered nursing programs.  
Reeves was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a tanning package courtesy of Copper Tanz, Morrilton; a product basket courtesy of Hairport, Morrilton; and a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton. She also received gift certificates from several Morrilton businesses, including Southern Roots Hair Salon, Magie Ford Lincoln Co., and Merle Norman & More.
The first runner-up, Brayleigh Bland, was awarded a $500 scholarship from the UACCM Chancellor’s Office and gift certificates courtesy of Southern Roots Hair Salon and Merle Norman & More. The second runner-up received gift certificates courtesy of Southern Roots Hair Salon and Merle Norman & More.
Hosted by UACCM’s SkillsUSA chapter, the pageant was open to current UACCM students and girls between the ages of birth and 17 years old. Apart from seven additional categories, those who competed for the title of Ms. UACCM were judged on beauty, professionalism, speech presentation, and interview skills.
“We are so thankful for the contestants, the businesses in our community, and the UACCM registered student organizations who supported our pageant,” Linda Zambrano, pageant director, said. “Also, a special thank you goes to those who came to support the girls who entered the pageant. It is always encouraging to see the support these girls have from their families, friends, and each other.” All the proceeds from the pageant go to the UACCM SkillsUSA chapter to send students to state and national competitions.

Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .

UACCM Eclipse Parking

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. FOR VISITORS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  Purchase an eclipse parking pass for $100 from the either of the tents located on University Boulevard  (🟧 on map). You are allowed to park anywhere in eclipse parking (blue on map). FOR STUDENTS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  You are allowed to park in eclipse parking (blue on map), free of charge. You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.  FOR STUDENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS: You may park in the parking lot in front of the UC and BTC (pink on map). You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals?
