'Be Pro Be Proud' to Showcase Workforce Jobs at UACCM
Be Pro Be Proud,
an Arkansas-based workforce initiative designed to shrink the widening skills
gap in the state, will have a display open to the public from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30
p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 in front of the Student Union building on
campus.
The Be Pro Be
Proud Mobile Workshop encourages student participation in construction,
trucking, manufacturing and other specific career opportunities. The Mobile
Workshop includes interactive work stations that engage students in several
skilled professional careers through gaming, rich video, and more. In 2016,
9,019 people visited the Mobile Workshop at 80 tour stops in 32 cities.
Be Pro Be
Proud’s mission is to increase the number of skilled professionals in the state
of Arkansas in a way that instills pride and passion in those professions and
allows the initiative to track its progress. More information can be found online
at www.beprobeproud.org.
