'Career Explorations' Events Returning In June

For the third consecutive year, the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will host two free “Career Exploration” events in June for students who have completed the 8th through 12th grades. The first two-day event is from June 12-13, which must be filled to capacity before the second event from June 14-15 will be open for registration. Each day runs from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

There is a skyrocketing demand for people with career-specific skills training. Join UACCM faculty and staff on this two-day journey where students can explore several exciting possibilities for their futures. Students will gain hands-on experience and leave with a better understanding of various career fields, along with the skills they require. UACCM offers programs that fit almost everyone’s interests, such as Collision Repair & Refinishing, Automotive Service, Computer Information Systems, Drafting, Industrial Mechanics & Maintenance, and Welding.

“Career Explorations” is sponsored by UACCM’s Department of Workforce & Community Education. For more information or to register, contact Vicki Shadell at shadellv@uaccm.edu, or at (501) 977-2132. You may also register online at www.uaccm.edu/workforce. Click on the “see courses currently available” button and scrolls down to “Career Explorations” to register. Registration must be completed by May 15.
