UACCM to Assist Students After ITT Technical Institute Closings
In
light of the recent closing of all ITT Technical Institute campuses across the
country, the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is
encouraging displaced students to inquire about continuing their education with
UACCM. Former students can submit any prior learning credits to the Office of
Admissions, which may also give information on comparable career programs,
nontraditional scholarships, and federal and state grants.
UACCM
offers many associate degrees and certificate programs similar to those offered
at ITT Technical Institutes. These include air conditioning, heating and
refrigeration; automotive collision repair; automotive service; business; computer
information systems; drafting; early childhood development; emergency medical
technician; industrial mechanics and maintenance; nursing; surveying; and
welding. The Office of Workforce and Community Education also offers several
noncredit, technical training courses available to the public at lower costs.
Former
ITT Technical Institute students may contact Director of Admissions Rachel
Mullins for more information at (501) 977-2053, (501) 977-2174 or at mullins@uaccm.edu.
