Introductory Welding Program Registration Deadline Approaching
Friday, March 18th is
the deadline to register for UACCM’s next Introductory Welding program!
Participants must be at least 18 years old and be willing to commit 3.5 hours
per night Monday through Friday (6:00 – 9:30 p.m.) from March 28 through May 13
to learn basic welding skills.
Those who are dislocated (laid off) or who
have been unemployed at least 27 weeks, may be eligible for a grant that will
pay the $400 cost of the program. Those who do not meet grant eligibility
requirements may register and pay $400. Registration is available at www.uaccm.edu/workforce
through this Friday.
In addition to
basic welding with emphasis on GTAW, GMAW, or FCAW participants will get OSHA
10 certification for general industry, craft skills, , and Job Search and
Resume. Upon completion of the program participants will also receive a
Certificate of Completion for the hours they actually complete.
