Scholarship Opportunities

Toad Suck Daze Community Service Scholarship Program: ($1000 Scholarships)
• Applicants must be a graduate of a Faulkner County high school or currently enrolled at UACCM having had graduated from a Faulkner County high school and applying for the 2013 fall term.
• Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Applicant should demonstrate financial need
• Scholarship recipients are required to complete 20 hours of community service with a non-profit organization in Faulkner County. Applicant must provide documentation of their community service hours
• Scholarship recipients must complete 10 volunteer hours during the 2013 Toad Suck Daze Festival, held May 3-5, 2013
• Applicants must write a one page essay, submit three letters of recommendation, submit transcripts, and submit parent’s tax returns

Conway County Literary Coterie Scholarship: ($500 Scholarship)
Applicants must be a Conway County resident, enrolled full-time Spring 2013, and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. No prior recipients are eligible.
Deadline: February 25, 2013

Conway Regional Health Foundation Scholarships: ($1000 - $2500 Scholarships)
Applicants must be full-time and enrolled in a health related career field. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, leadership ability, references, essay, personal interview, and financial need.
Deadline: March 1, 2013

The Mickey and Ross Kelder Scholarship Trust:
Applicants must be full-time students in Arkansas pursuing studies in foreign languages. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic ability, extracurricular achievements, and financial need.
Deadline: April 12, 2013

Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest: ($2500 Scholarships)
Applicants must write a 500-word essay about an African-American who has inspired you.
Deadline: February 28, 2013

American Welding Society Foundation Scholarships:
Students must be enrolled in a welding related training program.
Deadline: March 1, 2013

American Association of School Personnel Administrators Scholarship:
Applicants should be minority students seeking their teaching certification who will graduate in May or August 2014. A letter from a designated college representative, a letter from a character reference, and a transcript is required.
Deadline: April 12, 2013
