UACCM Foundation Aiming for Education Raises Over $6000

On September 9, the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation hosted the fifth annual “Aiming for Education” shooting competition fundraiser at Point Remove Lodge in Hattieville. Nine three-person teams and eighteen youth participants competed against each other in a variety of shooting games including clay pigeon shooting and team flurry exercises.
The winners of the “Aiming for Education” shooting competition were as follows: Team Shoot First Place - Mike Darr, Phyllis Dar, Dusty Darr; Team Shoot Second Place - Dennis Peacock, Neil Morton, Deck Travis; Youth 11-14 years old, first place - Luke Murphy, second place -Skylar Hughes; Youth 8-10 years old, first place – Qualyn James, second place – Carson Cahill; Adult Top Gun, Mike Darr; and Youth Top Gun, Skylar Hughes.

“Aiming for Education” brought in $7,905.15 for the UACCM Foundation thanks to the following sponsors: (10 Gauge Level Sponsors, $2500) Point Remove Lodge, and Winrock Farms, Inc; (12 Gauge Level Sponsors, $1000) Green Bay Packaging AR Kraft Division; (16 Gauge Level Sponsors, $500) Southwestern Energy, and St. Vincent Morrilton; (20 Gauge Level Sponsors, $250) Entergy-Arkansas, ESS Transportation, Roberson Tire, and Hagans Dodge Chrysler Jeep, (.410 Sponsor Level, $100) Central Arkansas Dust Control, Mike and Susie Dunaway; Healthcare Pharmacy; Johnson & Ruff, CPAs, P.A., Liberty Bank of Arkansas, Rich and Natalie Moellers, Petit Jean State Bank, Pam Brownlee and Tires for Less. Prizes were donated by Ducks Unlimited, Roberson Tire. Coca-Cola Bottling Company provided the drinks and Point Remove Lodge provided the food and ammunition for the event. Arkansas Game and Fish Officers were also on hand to give a safety talk and assist with the youth competition.
