Arkansas Tech University

Presidential Honors Transfer Scholarship

Applications are now available to apply for the Presidential Honors Transfer Scholarship to ATU for the Fall 2012 semester. Any student planning to transfer to Arkansas Tech University in the Fall 2012 semester who has completed 30 to 60 hours of college classes can apply. ATU allows the UACCM Scholarship Committee to select one Presidential Honors Transfer Scholarship each Spring. Preference will be given to students graduating with an AA degree in May. This scholarship will pay up to $2550 per semester in bill charges and is renewable for two years as long as the student maintains 15 hours with a 3.25 GPA. Applicants must complete a UACCM Scholarship application and indicate ATU Scholarship on the application.

UA Fort Smith

Chancellor’s Transfer Scholarship

Applications are now available to apply for a Chancellor’s Transfer Scholarship to UA Fort Smith for the Fall 2012 semester. Any student planning to transfer to UA Fort Smith in the Fall 2012 semester who will graduate with an Associates degree and a 3.0 cumulative GPA can apply. UA Fort Smith allows the UACCM Scholarship Committee to select two Chancellor’s Transfer Scholarships each Spring. The scholarship will pay up to $3500 per year for two years as long as the student completes 30 credit hours at the end of each spring term with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and enrolls full-time each semester. Applicants must complete a UACCM Scholarship application and indicate UA Fort Smith Scholarship on the application.

UACCM

James W. Pettry Memorial Scholarship

One year scholarship up to $1000 per semester
(Funds must be applied towards tuition, fees, and books)

Applications are now available to apply for the James W. Pettry Memorial Scholarship for the Fall 2012 semester. This scholarship will be awarded to a

full-time, UACCM student pursuing a two-year program in a technical area (preference given to an Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology major student). Applicants must be in their 2nd year of their program of study. One letter of recommendation is required from a former instructor. Preference will be given to students NOT receiving other UACCM academic scholarships.

The scholarship is awarded on a yearly basis (fall semester) to a student with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average. This scholarship is renewable for the following semester (spring) if the student maintains a 2.0 cumulative GPA. A new recipient will be selected each fall semester.

Applicants must complete a UACCM Scholarship application and indicate Pettry Memorial Scholarship on the application. One letter of recommendation is also required.

Trauma Scholarship Grant Program

From the Arkansas Department of Health

UACCM has five (5) Trauma/EMT Scholarship Grants available for the current Spring 2012 semester. The scholarships are in the amount of $611.70 each.

Requirements:

· Must be enrolled in the 8 hour EMT class this Spring 2012 semester

· Awarded based on financial need of the student with preference going to students that do not qualify for other types of need based aid (excluding student loans).

Applicants must complete a UACCM Scholarship Application. Please note on the scholarship application that you are applying for the EMT Scholarship. For more information, please see Stacy in the UACCM Financial Aid Office.
