New Financial Aid Information

Attention All Students:

This upcoming academic year 2012-2013, there is a new regulation regarding tax information. If you, a student are selected for verification by the FAFSA processing center or Financial Aid Office, you must turn in an IRS Tax Return Transcript. Due to changes in the federal regulation for FAFSA verification, we can no longer accept personal tax returns prepared by a tax service (such as H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, etc.) or self- prepared.

You can order a copy of an IRS Tax Return Transcript at www.irs.gov by clicking on the Order a transcript or Account Transcript link beneath the Tools heading. It will take 5-10 days to receive your transcript by mail. Also these instructions can be found on the back page of your student data form sent with the first contact letter from the Financial Aid office.

Also:

All students registering for May intercession and on-line summer classes and all VA students for the summer who expect to receive financial aid must come by the Financial Aid Office (after registering for classes)no later than May 1st to ensure your aid eligibility for the summer.
