Dr. Rick D. Niece to Speak at UACCM

The E. Allen Gordon Library at the University of Arkansas Community College and the Conway County Library are pleased to announce that Dr. Rick D. Niece, author of the book Side-Yard Superhero, will be speaking at the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium on Tuesday, March 6 at 7 pm. This event is being held as the conclusion to the second annual One Book, One Community Reading Program.

A lifelong educator by trade, Dr. Niece considers himself a small-town boy who has maintained his small-town values and appreciates how his upbringing shaped his journey from small-town America to a distinguished career in academia. His professional expertise spanning more than 40 years, Dr. Niece has served as a classroom teacher, a public school administrator and a university professor, provost and president. Since 1997, he and his wife Sheree have served as President and First lady of the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas.
