Russellville Symphony Guild Offers Free Admission to UACCM Students

aThe Russellville Symphony Guild is offering current UACCM students FREE general admission to an upcoming concert by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium on the campus of Arkansas Tech University. The concert will feature a mix of classical music and pop favorites.

Regular ticket prices include reserved tickets for $25 per person, which includes a 6 p.m. pre-concert reception at Lake Point Conference Center; adult general admission tickets for $10, and $5 for children.

It is not necessary for UACCM students to reserve their tickets in advance, but they must provide proof of college I.D. in order to gain free admission to the concert.

Reserved concert seating and reception tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Russellville Symphony Guild Board member Ann Squyres at (479) 968-5080 or Mary Clark at (479) 970-9004. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the evening of the concert.

The program will open with Johann Strauss’ “Radetzky March, Op. 228.” The concert will continue with familiar crowd favorites, including the “Cinderella Waltz” from “Cinderella,” Henry Mancini’s classic, “Moon River,” a selection from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” and Brahms “Hungarian Dance No. 5.” After a brief intermission, the Orchestra will conclude the program with Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5 in E Minor, Op. 64.”
