The UACCM Foundation completed two major fundraising projects in 2010, including the multi-use pavilion located near The Plaza dining facility and the Union Square outdoor park located outside of the Kirk Building’s Union Station. The Foundation officially transferred the property, valued at $62,791, to UACCM on November 17. Money for the two projects was raised during the past two years through the UACCM Foundation’s special events, including Just Desserts, the “Links for Learning” golf tournament, and the “Aiming for Education” skeet shoot.
The Foundation, comprised of a volunteer Board of Directors, directly supports the College through the funding of programs, equipment, and facilities that may not be paid for through the general budget. The Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation, which makes such contributions from businesses and individuals tax-deductible within the limits of the law.
The UACCM Foundation’s annual ‘Just Desserts’ fundraiser is scheduled for Thursday, February 10 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the UACCM Plaza.
