So did anyone get here an hour early because of day light savings time?

If you show up early for John Southerland, Juanita Owens or Leslie Gomes' 12pm and 1pm classes, you don't have to worry about waiting around because they have canceled those classes for today!

UACCM PURCHASED 7.87 ACRES FOR EXPANSION

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton has taken its first big step toward expanding its campus westward in anticipation of constructing a new workforce training center. The newly purchased land is shown in green with black stripes. The surrounding area is not currently owned by UACCM. The College recently purchased 7.87 acres of land, located on the northeast corner of Poor Farm Road and University Boulevard, from Bob Coffman. The property is within the planning boundaries of the UACCM campus and is the expected site of the planned facility. UACCM Chancellor Dr. Larry Davis and Vice Chancellor for Administration Dr. Linda Birkner had been working on the purchase for quite some time, but the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees officially approved the purchase Feb. 1 in Little Rock. Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship Established at UACCM

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has established the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship.   The endowment is established by former Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) Director Lorie Tudor, along with the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA), for non-credit workforce training programs, the first-ever endowed scholarship aimed at students in non-credit workforce programs.   “The Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship is the first of its kind at UACCM,” said UACCM Dean of Workforce Education and Training Dr. Jessica Allred.   “This is the first endowment earmarked for short-term training at UACCM and allows for additional support and opportunities for students,” Allred said.   Tudor presented a personal gift of $20,000, and the AAPA made a $5,000 contribution, making the endowment a total of $25,00...
