This just in: its raining... and some classes are canceled.
I love the rain, but it just makes me want to over sleep. If you have a class with Nancy Patterson, Laura Meek, Tina Lake, or Jim Harris' 9:25 public speaking class, you can sleep in because all of those classes are canceled. For those of you that have class please drive safe!

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will host in-person commencement ceremonies at Morrilton High School’s Devil Dog Arena in May to celebrate its spring 2021 and all 2020 graduates. The spring commencement exercises will mark the first time UACCM has hosted in-person ceremonies since December 2019, as all 2020 ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The in-person commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m. The facility’s size enables the college to accommodate the graduates and their guests. Exact details about event protocols and public health precautions will be announced closer to the ceremony date. UACCM Alum Dedicates Career to Health Care Policy

When Michael Lambert tries to pinpoint when U.S. politics became a big passion to him, he thinks back to his studies at UACCM.   Since graduating from UACCM in 2006, he has worked on campaigns for elected office and served as a congressional staffer. That led him to focusing his career on healthcare policy. Today, he serves as senior manager for state government relations at the McKesson Corporation, a pharmaceutical company based out of Texas, and earned recognition as UACCM’s Outstanding Alumni of the Year. For Lambert, his passion for politics came from a student meeting on campus, when a campaign organizer was trying to get students active in politics.   Greetings UACCM Students: I hope you are off to a great start with your spring classes!   In case you find yourself like many others and could use some extra cash, you're in the right place! The second round of CARES Act Stimulus payments for students has been released and UACCM has been working to get these payments processed for you.  There are three levels of need-based payments available for every student currently enrolled as of today, March 1 st .  Each student will receive one of the three amounts below: Level One - Each High School Concurrent Student will receive a $100 stimulus payment Level Two - Non - Pell Eligible Students will receive a $550 stimulus payment Level Three - Pell Eligible Students will receive a $750 stimulus payment For those students that have previously signed up for direct deposits, these payments will be deposited into your bank account on file on either March 2 nd or 3 rd .  For everyone else, you will have a check availa
