Governor Beebe in Morrilton Aug. 30

UACCM students and employees have been extended an invitation to greet Governor Mike Beebe when he visits Morrilton on Monday, August 30. Governor Beebe will be the special guest at the grand opening of the Conway County Democratic Headquarters located at 1401 East Broadway (Hwy 64).

The event will begin at 5 pm., and refreshments will be served. Also honored at the opening will be Johnny Hoyt, candidate for state senate, and Tommy Thompson, candidate for state representative.

Commercial Driver Training Program Begins Enrollment at UACCM

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Workforce Training & Community Education department is now accepting applications for the new, non-credit, Commercial Driver Training Program.  Beginning in June, the program is four to seven weeks, consisting of 160-164 training hours. Wayne Smith Trucking generously donated a 2007 Great Dane trailer for use by the class.  Program participants must be 21 years of age and be able to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening. Participants must be able to read, speak, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to meet the Department of Transportation regulations. Participants may need to be available for some evening on-the-road training. Upon completion of the program, students will be tested by the State Police or a third party tester for their Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). UACCM PN Has Third Straight Year of 100% NCLEX Pass Rate

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) Practical Nursing program has posted a 100% pass rate on the most recent round of NCLEX board exams. This is the third straight year of UACCM PN posting a 100% NCLEX pass rate.   “We are so proud of this outstanding accomplishment,” said UACCM Director of Practical Nursing Angie Moore-Strickland. “This is a testament to the dedication of both our students and our faculty,” she continued.   The total pass percent amongst Arkansas PN programs for 2025 was at 92 percent, with the national average at 86.7 percent.   Additionally, the UACCM pass rate for students seeking associate degrees in nursing programs in 2025 was 96.5 percent, exceeding both the Arkansas average of 85.5 percent and national average of 87.5 percent.   “Our nursing department is committed to excellence in nursing education, and we strive to prepare highly competent, compassionate, and practice-ready nurses,” said...
