One Book, One Community program starts Sept. 21
A recent blog story regarding the development of an all campus, all-community book discussion program co-sponsored by UACCM and the Conway County Library reported an incorrect starting date for the program. The first meeting by the book discussion groups formed will be September 21 at 7:00 pm on the UACCM campus.
As part of the “One book, One Community,” book program, students, faculty, and staff at UACCM, Conway County Library patrons and book lovers throughout the area will be encouraged to read Belle in the Slouch Hat, by Mimi Mathis and engage in thoughtful, productive discussions about the issues raised in the book. On November 16, all participants and anyone interested will have a chance to meet the author and hear her experiences as she wrote the book. Register and pick up a free copy of the book at at the E. Allen Gordon Library on the campus of UACCM or the Conway County Library in downtown Morrilton. For more information, contact Leroy Gattin at (501) 977-2033 or at gattin@uaccm.edu.
