Chancellor Finalists Announced - Campus Visits Scheduled Next Week

The committee searching for the next chancellor at UACCM has narrowed the list of applicants for the position to three finalists.

Among finalists is Dr. Thomas Flowers of Center Ridge. Flowers formerly served as a staff member at UACCM from 1992-2008, holding the positions of vice president for student services, vice chancellor for academic services, vice chancellor for instruction and dean of students. Other finalists include Dr. Larry Davis, vice chancellor for academic affairs at Arkansas State University-Newport and Nancy Russell, vice president for instruction at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz.

Finalists are scheduled to visit the UACCM campus on Monday, July 19 (Russell), Tuesday, July 20 (Flowers) and Wednesday, July 21 (Davis). Candidates will visit with current students, faculty, staff and members of the community while on campus. Students are invited to a question/answer session with each candidates from 11:30 am to 12:00 noon each day in the Fine Arts Auditorium, and the public is also invited to attend a formal presentation and question/answer session with each candidate during their visit. The presentations for the community will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm each day in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium. Participants will be given the opportunity to complete an evaluation of each candidate to be submitted to the search committee.

Following each candidate’s campus visit, the search committee will make a recommendation to UA System President Dr. B. Alan Sugg, who will make a final recommendation to the UA System Board of Trustees regarding UACCM’s next chancellor. For more information on the chancellor search process, click here.
